As reported by the “Report”, Chief Prosecutor Kamran Aliyev said this during his speech at the Annual Conference and General Assembly of the International Prosecutors Association (IPA), the first and only global organization of world prosecutors in Baku.
He said that holding the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) in Azerbaijan is historically important.
K. Aliyev said that holding the event in Azerbaijan is a clear example of great respect and trust, as well as recognition of Azerbaijan’s contribution to environmental protection and climate change prevention at the national, regional and global levels.
Likewise, during COP29, it was noted that a high-level plenary session called “Mobilization of law enforcement agencies in the fight against climate change” will be held on November 15 in cooperation with the United Nations Office against Drugs and Crime – UNODC.
