In the Moscow region, Vitaly Melnikov, a footballer from the “Kvant” football club in the city of Obninsk, was detained, accused in the case of kidnapping and brutal torture of Azerbaijani businessman Samrat Javadov together with five associates in Russia.
Oku.Az RIA Novosti reports that it was reported by the press service of the Moscow region investigative committee.
It is noted that he will remain in prison until January 18, 2025. The athlete and five other Kaluga residents kidnapped the victim, took her to the forest in the Chekhov district of the city and tortured her there, filming the entire process. As a result, the man died on the spot from his injuries.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani businessman Samrat Adalat oglu Javadov, 30, disappeared in October. Two weeks later, his body was found in the woods.
