President of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan (AHIK) Sahib Mammadov met with the heads of international organizations participating in the international conference held in Baku on “Climate changes and just transition: the role and activities of trade unions “.

The president of AHIK noted that the high level of protection of human rights and freedoms in our country and the legislation on the labor rights of our citizens open up ample opportunities for our free and productive activity. He said that currently trade unions in Azerbaijan reliably protect labor, social, economic rights and legal interests of their members.
Speaking about AHIK’s international relations, S. Mammadov said that they attach special importance to this area and that the confederation’s activities will continue to be based on advanced international standards and progressive practices.
He stressed that the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan and the International Cooperation Organization (OIC) have extensive relations based on mutual trust, the organization’s agreements are widely applied in our country and, at the same time, representatives of trade unions in Azerbaijan participate in meetings. annual sessions of the organization.
S. Mammadov also highlighted the importance of the statements, decisions, tasks and recommendations of the International Trade Union Confederation (ICC) for the ICC and the satisfactory level of cooperation between the two institutions.
Highlighting that the representation of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan in the Pan-European Regional Council (PARC) opens wide opportunities for the effective activity of the Confederation of Trade Unions, the president of the confederation said that they will actively work with this institution to deepen it.
