Javier Tebas’ “war” against audiovisual fraud has no end. The president of La Liga’s stubbornness on this issue is such that he accuses Vinicius of having hijacked the match between Liverpool and Real Madrid in the Champions League.
The Brazilian was not playing at Anfield and uploaded a “story” in which the match appeared on his television, an action with which Tebas showed that he was not losing any points regarding these cases.
“If he’s in Madrid, and I think he was in Madrid, it’s piracy. Access to content to watch the Champions League in Spain must be through Movistar Television. To view this content, I had to have a VPN or satellite dish pointed elsewhere. There must be active conduct beyond the scope of Movistar. He was hacking the game. It was communicated that next time they will not hack the match,” Tebas explained, in statements collected by Relevo.
The La Liga coach referred to a story shared online by the Madrid player on his personal account, in which an image of the match and the logo of the Brazilian channel TNT Sports Brasil could be seen. The League has reportedly sent a letter to warn Real Madrid of these behaviors, although no firm response is expected from the club.
Tebas is currently in Argentina, more precisely in Buenos Aires, to chair a conference on piracy, the main fight of the leader of the national competition.
