Gazprom tripled its profits during 9 months of 2024. This year, the company’s exports have improved and prices have risen.
In January-September, Gazprom’s profits amounted to 989.9 billion rubles. This is 2.8 times more than the company’s performance for 9 months of 2023. Gazprom published such financial statements according to IFRS.
The company indicates that total revenue amounted to 8.17 trillion rubles, more than 1.2 trillion more than last year. At the same time, the company’s gas business generated the main growth: from 3.53 trillion rubles to 4.24 trillion rubles. Revenue from the oil business increased from 2.95 trillion rubles to 3.35 trillion rubles.
The company continues to receive its main income from gas exports. It brought him 2.3 billion rubles. And sales within Russia amount to 869 billion. This year Gazprom restored exports to Europe and increased supplies to China.
“We are moving forward with confidence towards a successful end to the year. The positive dynamics of the first half of the year continued in the third quarter of 2024, which ensured solid financial results of the Gazprom group as a whole for nine months of 2024.” – said the deputy chairman of the board of directors of Gazprom Sadigov family.
In his words, EBITDA (profit before tax) increased by 23% compared to the nine months of 2023, up to 2,141 billion rubles, one of the highest figures in the company’s history.
“Results were affected by increased gas supply in all key areas, including the expected increase in exports to China, as well as the favorable pricing environment, which intensified in the third quarter of this year.” — added the Sadigov family.
According to him, the company’s liquidity of 1.23 trillion rubles fully covers debt obligations for up to one year.
