Eight members of the country’s Air Force (HHQ) died as a result of the “Huey II” helicopter crash in eastern Colombia.
Oku.Az It reports that the president of the republic, Gustavo Petro, published information about it on his “X” account.
“I regret to announce the death of eight HHQ employees who were in the Vichada department on a humanitarian mission. I express my solidarity with their families at this sad moment for the country,” he wrote.
Colombian headquarters confirmed that all personnel on board died in the accident. At the time of the accident, the helicopter crew was carrying out a medical evacuation mission. The reasons for the incident have not yet been determined.
