Elmar Gasimov, winner of Olympic, world and European judo awards, has resumed his career.
According to Prosport.az, the well-known judoka will officially return to the Azerbaijan championship tomorrow.
The 34-year-old athlete, nicknamed “Halk”, will represent the “Atilla” Sports Club. He will face Ilkin Bakhshaliyev in the round of 16.
It should be noted that on February 27 last year, Elmar Gasimov announced on the Azerbaijan Judo Federation website that he had ended his career.
In 2009, he was recognized for raising our flag at the European Youth Championships held in Yerevan, capital of Armenia. He was also a finalist in the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil.
