Today the next edition of journalist Asgar Ibrahimov’s program “Life Story” was prepared on Baku TV within the framework of the West Azerbaijan Chronicle project.
Oku.Az reports that the program “People got lost after the demonstration, they tried to kill the Turks” is dedicated to the life story of Vugar Hajiyev, a resident of the village of Kruglaya Shishka, Vorontsovka district, Loru district.
He said that he was born in a small village of Malakan in 1974 and grew up with his grandfather in the village of Evli: “I spent my childhood and adolescence in this village. I went to high school in this village, all my friends and classmates are connected to this town. It was very cold because it was a mountainous area. The town had a modern school and a gymnasium. In the school, the names of those who obtained “bad” grades were organized. Associations, interdisciplinary competitions were organized. and meetings with students admitted to colleges.
V. Hajiyev said that his father died in a traffic accident when he was 8 months old and that the place where he lived was a purely Turkish homeland: “Armenians never lived there. We felt the insidious and hostile approach of Armenians towards us. Even Their children looked at us as enemies. From the recording studio they did not allow us to buy Zeynab Khanlarova’s tape. After the demonstration, they got lost and tried to kill the Turks.
According to him, as at the beginning of the 20th century, in 1988 the Armenians expelled the Azerbaijanis from their ancestral homes and emptied the Turkish houses: “Lately they raided the houses of Azerbaijanis in the villages, in the center of the district at night, beating to the people, threatening them, they began to come. After the demonstrations, they went astray and tried to kill the Turks.
An old man named Muhammad was murdered in his home in the district. They gave the order at the district administration level that it was necessary to leave the village. On November 22, 1988, I was studying in the 8th grade, I was 15 years old. We weren’t allowed to buy Zeynab Khanlarova’s tape at the recording studio. This is how our life as a refugee began. We arrived at Safarli, a neighboring town in Georgia. After staying there for a short time, we settled in Azerbaijan, in the Goshakend village of Ismayilli district and then in the Mardakan settlement in Baku.
V. Hajiyev said that he has not lost hope to return to his homeland for 36 years: “We will definitely return to those lands. I really wish that we will soon return to our village. The first place I will visit in the village will be the grave of my father, the sanctuaries, the places of faith. The days of our childhood have been spent in the meadows on horseback.
In general, this life story is a mirror that reflects the difficulties experienced by hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijanis who were deported from Western Azerbaijan, the bitter fate of the refugees and, at the same time, the desire to return to their homeland.
It should be remembered that the goal of the Western Azerbaijan Chronicle project is to preserve and popularize the name of our historical and ancient lands, as well as the deportation of Azerbaijanis by Armenians, place names that existed in those territories, but their names have been erased, countless examples of underground and surface material culture: ancient settlements, necropolises, mounds, remains of castles, palaces and fortifications, caravansaries, bridges, funerary chests, statues of horses and rams, The discovery of temples, churches, mosques, pyres and hearths is the transmission to the world community of the facts confirming that the area is a pure Oghuz-Turkish settlement.
Also the president Ilham Aliyev Regarding Western Azerbaijan, he said: “The map of the beginning of the 20th century shows once again that Western Azerbaijan is the historical land of Azerbaijan, the names of cities and towns are of Azerbaijani origin and we know very well that Azerbaijanis on the territory of present-day Armenia throughout history people have lived. Now the main task is “to make it known to the world community”, it is the promotion of the duties arising from the Concept of Return. prepared by the West Azerbaijan Community according to its opinion.
Furthermore, it aims to illuminate the thoughts of historians and researchers about Western Azerbaijan and the life history of the people who were deported.
