In a bus accident near the village of Starokorsunskaya, east of Krasnodar, 31 people were injured. This was reported by the regional operational headquarters with reference to data from the Ministry of Health of the Krasnodar Territory.
“22 people were hospitalized in regional center hospitals, three of them were children. “Nine people, including a child, received outpatient care.” – says the message.
Earlier, the Interior Ministry reported that 29 passengers on the bus were injured, including three children.
The bus driver was also injured. The truck driver, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, died.
The accident occurred on the afternoon of September 29, 16 kilometers from the highway between Temryuk and Krasnodar, on the border of the Stavropol Territory. On the rented bus from Krasnodar to Stavropol there were 49 passengers, fans of the handball team.
The driver of a MAN truck crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with a Yutong bus, after which both vehicles caught fire. All the bus passengers managed to get off and the fire was later extinguished.
The Investigative Commission opened a criminal case for violation of traffic rules, which resulted in the death of a person due to negligence – Part 3 of Art. 264 of the Penal Code.
