UNED Tudela continues to develop one of its strategic lines, that framed in the mental health careand, in alliance with the Queiles Psychosocial Rehabilitation Center (entity approved with the Government of Navarra and managed by Avanvida) and Ana Laura de Diego, former director of SER Tudela, are launching a radio workshop (in the form of a video podcast) that pursues five main objectives. Among them, stands out giving a voice to users of mental health services, it will therefore be called Voices with Soul, Breaking Silences.
With the essence of a radio workshop -although it is recorded on video and broadcast via the UNED YouTube channel
Tudela-, this initiative seeks to become a tool of empathy, so that society is more aware of the situations that people experience. people with mental health problems or psychosocial suffering. In fact, the second of its objectives is precisely to combat the stigma with which these people live and to show a more real image, because they are all valuable human beings, with stories, talents and emotions that deserve to be celebrated. ‘be heard.
THE radio professional Ana Laura de Diego will be responsible for teaching the workshop, which will have the collaboration of Maite Mayayo and Mª Jesús Monasterio, from Queiles Psychosocial Rehabilitation Center.
At the same time that he will be encouraged learn to listen and transmit emotions and experiences in a natural way and
authentic, raising spectator awareness, the creativity of the participants will be highlighted, with moments of laughter, creation of characters or invention of stories, all within the framework of a fun space in which they feel at home. ‘easy.
Finally, this project establishes as one of its fundamental pillars the exploring important values in mental healthaddressing aspects such as respect, inclusion and solidarity, which will also have their place of honor in front of the workshop microphones.
With a structure of a monthly chapter lasting approximately 45 minutes, the initial team with which this initiative was born will include seven members of a shared management team of the Queiles Psychosocial Rehabilitation Center. These teams are made up of service users and professionals, who collaborate both in decision-making and in the execution of actions. In other words, everything happens in a common and consensual way.
Each of these people will have the opportunity to appear in front of the microphonesbefore starting to work on his perception of the visions, full of prejudices, that society usually has of those who suffer from psychosocial suffering. The goal is to break down preconceived ideas about mental health problems.
ELIMINATE STIGMA
