Adif will invest more than 7.1 million euros after the award of the works contract replacement of sleepers and rail throughout some 35 kilometers of the Castejón de Ebro-Tafalla roadin the Castejón-Alsasua lineof the conventional railway network that crosses Navarre.
In this way, The railway infrastructure will be adapted to the needs the current and future of the line and the reliability of the installations will be improved, through a renewal of materials, as well as the improvement of pipes and drainage, among other actions.
THE works to understand follow the work at different points along the routein stations and along the lines.
Furthermore, alongside the replacement of sleepers and railwill be carried out electrification, security and communications works. An additional 10.7 million euros are added to the work budget for the supply of materials necessary for the renovation.
This infrastructure renewal requires manual means and semi-heavy machinery, to finally undertake the leveling, alignment and profiling work of the road with heavy machinery (tamping and profiling).
This action contributes to respect for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 9 (promotion of reliable, sustainable and quality infrastructure); 11 (access to safe, accessible and sustainable transport systems); 8 (contribution to economic growth and employment) and 7 (energy efficiency).
