Toledo rewards “Young Talents” at a brilliant gala at the Rojas Theater

During a gala presented on Sunday evening by the inhabitants of Toledo and the influencers ‘Valmaseda’ and ‘SerOnoser’, the first Toledo Young Talents’24 Prizea ceremony presided over by the mayor, Carlos Velázquez, and attended by several members of the Corporation. These innovative awards will include up to seven categories (education, sports, culture, performing arts, musical creation, entrepreneurship and associations and volunteering). And, among the winners, ESN Toledo; Lucas Búa and Imperial Women’s Handball; Sara Bargueño; BeDance; Twenty-one; Noemotions and, finally, Cecap Joven. There was a special mention “City of Toledo” which rewarded athletes from Toledo who participated in the Paris Olympic Games such as Irene Sánchez-Escribano, Gonzalo Pérez de Vargas and María Tello. And, surprise, a video of Carolina Martín, the great Spanish badminton player.

Carlos Velázquez He showed his commitment to young people, who, according to him, are the present and future of Toledo, and congratulated the winners for being an example for all. Likewise, Velázquez expressed the City Hall’s commitment to issues that concern young people, such as access to stable employment with a decent salary, or access to housing.

In this sense, the mayor assured that the industrial zone would be expanded to attract businesses and generate new opportunities and that the Municipal Land and Housing Company would build housing for young people, so that they have the opportunity to live in Toledo, “now in recent years, many people have had to move outside the city,” he recalls.

Finally, Velázquez indicated that the young people rewarded today, thanks to their work, their efforts, their dedication and their sacrifices, “have managed to be a reference for all of us.”

During these I Young Talent Awards’24, eight prizes were awarded in different categories; a special mention from the city of Toledo to Toledo Olympians, Gonzalo Pérez de Vargas, Irene Sánchez Escribano and María Tello; and a special national mention to Carolina Marín.
