Doctor Yamen Jafarov, who helped hundreds of wounded in both the First and Second Karabakh Wars, spoke to Baku TV.
He stressed that he saw the determination of Azerbaijani soldiers in both wars.
“I still remember the words of a soldier from the southern region. The bullet tore off one of his lower limbs. He said: “Azerbaijan, I sacrificed my life for you.”
Speaking about his work in the Patriotic War, the doctor said that at that time most of the wounded demanded to be returned to battle:
“The officers said that my soldiers were left there headless, to let me go and go to battle. However, they were in such a situation that it was impossible for them to return.”
