He said that the choice and independent will of the Georgian people is unacceptable to the West:
“First of all, we ask the West to treat us with equal rights, which in turn means respect for the Georgian people and their choice. The Georgian people have openly declared that peace and independence are important to them. But, Unfortunately, the West ignores Georgia’s national interests and we need a government that will make their wishes come true. Just as the government that is subordinate to them today has a successful history of cooperation with them. It is the current opposition that will lead the country until 2012. They did not oppose the West and served their interests.”
According to Chikalidze, the goal of the current actions is clearly calculated to change the government:
“However, this mission will fail. Because there will be no revolution in Georgia. Everyone should understand this, whether within the country or abroad.”
