Armenia resumed gold production at a mine bordering the Zod deposit

Armenia has resumed production at the Sotk goldfield, which borders the Soyudlu (Zod) goldfield in Azerbaijan.

Oku.Az This was reported to the Armenian press by the country’s Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Hovannes Harutyunyan.

It should be noted that for the second half of 2025, it is planned to increase production in the field to the project capacity of 400,000 tons per year. Currently, the annual capacity is 100 to 150 thousand tons.

According to O. Arutyunyan, the main reason for stopping production was the depletion of resources of the mine located near the earth’s surface.
