The PP of Alberto Núñez Feijóo is finalizing a bill on accommodation with extensive reforms to be implemented when they reach central government. A text in which young people will be the “protagonists” and with policies such as promoting the construction of 200,000 housing units every year. This was announced by the national spokesperson of the PP, Borja Semperduring a press conference in Genoa, where he presented some broad outlines of the new housing law being prepared by the party. This, alongside the conciliation law which will be registered by the popular this Tuesday at the Congress of Deputies.
In this way, Feijóo’s training advances in its commitment to focusing on issues that concern society and not on “division and confrontation” where the government of Pedro Sanchezcriticized the spokesperson. Thus, Sémper, who presented himself accompanied by the assistant secretary for equality, conciliation and social policies, Ana Alosstressed that the PP Housing law will include policies so “that there is more land on the market” and to “promote the construction of housing”. “We need 200,000 homes per year”he clarified.

Likewise, Sémper stressed that the PP bill, “far from the banner”will pay particular attention to the “most vulnerable” and will ensure “legal security for the sector”.
In terms of conciliation, Alós recalled the measures announced by the PP in recent days, such as the free nursery schools from 0 to 3 years old with a universal character; the development of flexible working hours and creation of a “bank of hours” that workers can use according to their needs; the extension of paternity and maternity leave to 20 weeks to use freely; the recognition of single-parent families and the expansion of their permits; either premiums for the caregiver contract for large and single-parent families.
He also mentioned measures for families with specific needs in terms of conciliation, those who have disabled people or dependent minors who suffer from chronic illnesses; civil servants with children suffering from serious illnesses; families in vulnerable situations; host families and those living in rural areas.
Furthermore, he proposed the creation of a “National Conciliation and Co-Responsibility Prize” to “raise awareness of the importance of this issue” and “reward good commercial and social practices”; and also proposed that companies that apply conciliation measures beyond what the law proposes should have a “added value” for public procurement.
“Maladministration”
During the press conference, Sémper criticized the fact that in the face of these measures, what exists is the “bad government” of Executive Sánchez.
