Specialists have neutralized munitions, including HIMARS cluster missiles, fired by the Armed Forces of Ukraine at populated areas in the border areas of the Kursk region, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
“Pyrotechnicians removed explosive objects from one of the areas of the city of Lgov, which was attacked with HIMARS cluster rockets the day before. The submunitions posed a great danger to the city’s residents.” – the message said.
The specialists also cleared the area near the power lines of explosive objects.
“This will allow emergency power services to begin restoration work.” – the department added.
In addition, based on the request, the house of a local resident was inspected, whose roof was hit at night by a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Ukrainian drone detonated, tore the roof, damaged the attic, ceilings and completely pierced the load-bearing wall of one of the rooms.
“Rescuers collected all the elements of the attack drone, saving the family of a resident of the Kursk region from tragedy. All the discovered ammunition was taken to the training ground and destroyed.” – the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a statement.
Specialists of the combined detachment of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations continue to work on destroying explosive objects in the Kursk region.
