They seize 300 kilos of illegally harvested mushrooms at the start of the campaign

Environmental agents of the Regional Government of Castilla y León seized this weekend the mountains of Soria 300 kilos of mushrooms. Concretely, the agents intervened 106 kilograms of porcini mushrooms and 192 others of chanterelles to collectors who did not have the corresponding collection permit or due to excessive collection in unregulated forests in the north of the province.

Coinciding with the start of a positive situation of mycological production, the Junta de Castilla y León is developing, in coordination with the Civil Guard, the field operation on control of collection and illegal marketing from the mycological resource of the province of Soria.

In the province of Soria there are 197,230.29 regulated hectares74,901.26 hectares included in 21 mycological boundaries, and 122,329.03 hectares corresponding to the Soria area of ​​the Montes de Soria Mycological Park (127,909.88 hectares in total, including those corresponding to the province of Burgos).
