Pozuelo de Alarcón has put the machine at full speed to face one of the most important investments in its history and, of course, in this legislature: a Congress Center, a new Exhibition Center and a hotel that will give The impression of having a view of Madrid from a balcony. . A megaproject which will invest 50 million euros in the Palace, and which was born thanks to a public-private collaboration, even if it will be entirely public in relation to the new Fair.
The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, presented this Monday the future Pozuelo de Alarcón Congress Center. With an investment of 50 million euros, this project carried out by the Martín Caballero Architecture Workshop aims to raise a rising “sun” on a particularly well-located plot of land.
This triple presentation involves two different projects. On the one hand, there is the construction of the Palais des Congrès and a neighboring hotel, which will be put under concession. The private sector will build and operate the palace and hotel. It will be located on municipal land and under concession for a minimum period of 50 years, and it is estimated that around 50 million euros will be invested there.
On the other hand, the Pozuelo de Alarcón City Hall, headed by Paloma Tejero, will build a new exhibition center, in this case with public funds.
The Palace will be located on land between the old M-508 and M-503 highways, and will have an area of almost 18,000 square meters, to which are added more than 3,000 square meters in open space to organize events in open air. The main building will have parking for 550 vehicles, multi-purpose spaces, an exhibition area, rehearsal rooms and two modern auditoriums, designed to be used jointly and independently up to a capacity of 2,000 spectators.
The building will be topped with a unique golden roof, which will also be covered in solar panels. This and other technological improvements will make the property a virtually zero-energy building.

Thanks to its versatility, assures Studio Martín Caballero, this Congress Center will be attractive for celebrating all types of events: from conferences to congresses, theater, concerts, dance, musical or sports shows, thanks to its capacity to modulate the space accordingly. on each specific need.
It is expected that this new infrastructure will also have hotel space nearby to cover the accommodation needs of visitors.
The land where the hotel is located is “unbeatable”, in the opinion of its architects: it will make the hotel “a balcony of Madrid, as if we were looking at a painting by Antonio López”. It will house several restaurants, including a Michelin-starred one with 360-degree views.
At the same time, the Pozuelo de Alarcón Town Hall is already working on the construction of a new 15,000 square meter exhibition center on land near the Congress Center, already prepared for the latest business festivities. Once the intervention is completed, a large public garden space will be created, which residents will be able to enjoy regardless of the specific activities organized.
This fair will have a huge outdoor space of 15,350 square meters of multipurpose surface, dotted with a few benches of planters that move to the perimeter if necessary. The place can be used both for business festivities and for fairs, festivals, markets, gastronomic events, concerts with a capacity of 5,000 people, etc.
The regional president highlighted the public-private collaboration in this intervention and the value it will bring to the city. “This is the path we will continue to follow and the reason why citizens voted overwhelmingly for us, not to intervene and not make arbitrary political decisions at the whim of the politician to save a speech which seems ineffective,” he added. .
