The researcher on extremist groups, Maher Fargali, said that Turkish investigations have identified a drink with financial disputes, which prompted the authorities to prevent him from traveling and abandoning his request to obtain Turkey citizenship. Fargali explained that Sharabi tried to evade responsibility, smuggling his family outside the Turkic, as soon as he found out about the opening of investigations, which increased doubts about security services in it.
Sharabi is trying to benefit from Egyptian reconciliation
Fargali noted that Sharabi sought to portray himself as a “political sacrifice” using the atmosphere of Egyptian normalization, although the case against him is purely criminal and has nothing to do with politics. He also indicated that Sharabi receives external financing and leading systematic propaganda campaigns against Egypt, despite the release of the sentence against him in prison in cases related to national security and illegal financing.
Contradictions of the leaders of the brotherhood abroad
Fargali emphasized that the problem of Sharabi reveals the egregious contradiction in the positions of the leaders of the brotherhood living in Turkey, where they are silent about Turkish policy, despite the fact that some of them participate in cases of corruption, while they continue to attack the Egyptian state.
It should be noted that Sharabi was one of the most outstanding judges belonging to the movement of “judges for legitimacy”, and he fled from Egypt after the release of court decisions against him. These events take place at a time when Egyptian relations with Turkete relations become witnesses of remarkable improvement after many years of tension.
