Christmas is enjoyed by everyone, but there is no doubt that children do it with more enthusiasm. This is why the municipal council of Grenade wanted to give them the spotlight again during the official opening ceremony of the Christmas lighting, which took place in the afternoon of this Saturday, November 30, in the Plaza del Carmen, where the town hall building.
The act only there was a lack of cold, the typical cold of these dates. It’s not that the very general public wore shirt sleeves, but there was no need for bulky coats either. For the rest, the event, organized by the town hall and local public television, TG7, was brilliant. It started late due to a technical problem, but in these situations mistakes are easily forgivable.
Before the lighting, the choir performed Diem tentwho performed unorthodox Christmas carols. Or in other words, songs that actually belong to the pop music spectrum –U2, Coldplaythe already inevitable Mariah Carey…- but the training adapted to the rhythm of Christmas par excellence. The result is curious and pleasant. That the rhythm is marked by an electric guitar instead of a tambourine is a novelty that attracts attention.
As usual, the event brought together many people in the center of Granada
