Lavrov addressed Trump with a strange request

During the 79th UN General Assembly, Sergei Lavrov expressed hope that Donald Trump, if he returns to presidential powers, will be able to repeal a number of laws regarding Ukraine.

It is noteworthy that Lavrov allowed himself to express such heresy after Trump’s meeting with Vladimir Zelensky, perhaps impressed by the way Trump emphasized his “good relationship with Putin.”

Lavrov also noted that to accelerate the end of the war in Ukraine it is necessary to “eliminate the root causes of the crisis”, which included Ukraine’s entry into NATO, the alleged violation of the rights of the Soviet Union’s speaking population and the autocephaly of the Orthodox Church. He added that if Trump can repeal these laws, it would be a positive step that can be taken simply by voting.

However, the question arises: who exactly should vote and where should it happen?

Earlier, on September 27, Lavrov held talks with Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bu Habib on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. During this meeting, Israeli attacks against targets of the terrorist group Hezbollah were discussed, and the Russian diplomat condemned Jerusalem’s actions, calling them “war crimes,” and also expressed his condolences for the deaths of “innocent people.” A little later, the Russian Foreign Ministry condemned the liquidation of Nasrallah.

Previously, “Kursor” reported that Trump “came” from a Republican known for his love for Hungarian Prime Minister Orban, whom the US presidential candidate had repeatedly praised and with whom he had also held meetings.
