Vox admits having received more than nine million euros from a Hungarian bank close to Viktor Orbán

Voice acknowledges having received nine million euros from the Hungarian bank MBH For finance electoral campaignsand denounces that they are forced to seek financing from foreign entities because the Spanish do not want to support them financially.

Vox Executive sources admit to having requested a loan of a little over nine million to finance the 2023 municipal and general election campaigns of the Hungarian bank MBH. The owner of this entity is Lörinc Mészároshe the richest man in Hungary and childhood friend of the Prime Minister, Viktor Orbannow a partner of Vox in the European Parliament.

Vox sources admit to “looking” for funding outside Spain and are unhappy with Spanish entities lending money to the PP and PSOE and themselves.they don’t want to finance them” and they only got a few “minor credits”.

A few hours later, Vox spokesperson Pepa Millán confirmed this in statements to congressional journalists, although she claims not to know whether or not this Magyar entity is a bank close to Viktor Orban.

As he said, they had to turn to the Hungarian bank “faced with the impossibility of obtaining this loan that all political parties obtain, especially during electoral periods, and given the delay, it is not known whether it is deliberate or not, from the General Administration of the State with electoral expenses that correspond to any which political party.

Vox does not understand this lack of offers from Spanish banks, because according to them, financing Vox “would be a good deal” for Spanish banks because it would include amounts paid with interest currently benefiting a foreign entity. In any case, they emphasize that, given the veto of Spanish banks, they will not give up seeking financial support in other countries.

The credit requested from MBH, which is legal and audited, as they point out, has already been returned. Vox first paid two of the nine million and the other seven as soon as they received the subsidies for their results in the 2023 elections, the sources detail.
