He Special Employment Center (CEE) of the Lince Group of Valladolid, dependent on the People Foundation yesterday took a new step in the professional and social integration of people with disabilities with the inauguration of the first Social Additive Manufacturing Center (FAS), which, thanks to its 20 employees, will manufacture 3D parts for automotive and other industrial sectors, reports Ical. Products will also be manufactured for the dependency sector.
It’s going to be a “very important” and “historic” stage in Castilla y Leónsince the Lince Group, promoted by Asprona, is a special employment center, “the largest that exists in the autonomous community, with 750 workers, 90 percent of whom are disabled people”, highlighted the Minister of Industry , Commerce and Employment. , Leticia Garcia.
The new facilities, located in the Envite building of the Personas Foundation in the industrial zone of San Cristóbal, have an interconnected training and production center, where the handling work associated with additive manufacturing will be assembled and carried out or any industrial project that companies propose. Added to this is a pure manufacturing part, thanks to 3D printers. In this place it is designed and produced, in addition to carrying out a wide range of finishes on the pieces.
The general director of the People Foundation, Daniel Clavero, recalled that numerous reports claim that 80 percent of current jobs could disappear to allow others to appear. In this sense, we asked ourselves where the disability would be located in this environment, since the Lince Group employs more than 600 people, the majority with some disability. Hence the decision of the People Foundation to contribute its “grain of sand” to the construction of this future.
