The new social tourism program of the Consell, Travel Bonus +65promoted by Turisme Comunidad Valenciana, registered more than 12,500 requests during its first week of operation, of which 1,500 have already formalized their request to be able to travel from October 14 to December 20, 2024.
Beneficiaries can book stays of 5 to 10 nights with half board. The “Travel + 65” aid covers 40% of the reservation with a maximum of 240 euros if the beneficiary travels alone or 360 euros if they travel accompanied.
Reservations can also be made with travel agencies which will be commissioned at 20 euros per operation compared to 12.5 euros in the Imserso.
The maximum eligible cost of the Viaja +65 program will be 600 euros without an accompanying person and 900 euros with guide. The price of accommodation is set at 70 euros per day for a double room or 50 euros for a single-use double room in the case where seniors are traveling alone.
Additionally, an additional credit of 100 euros per person per package will be included for gastronomic, health, sports or cultural experiences, as well as parking and transfer services.
Who can apply for the +65 Travel Bonus
The “Travel +65” aid can only be received by people over 65 years old who are registered in the Valencian Community and are up to date with their tax and social obligations.
Only one grant will be paid per beneficiary, but you can use it to reserve a double room and travel with the companion of your choice.
How to claim the +65 Travel bonus
The beneficiary can request it himself or ask a third party to do it on his behalf. You can also contact a travel agency or the hotel where you wish to stay to process the request. All you need to do is sign a form agreeing that this other person, agency or accommodation is your representative.
