This week, more rain awaits us: “The passage of an Atlantic depression with its fronts will leave cloudy or overcast skies with widespread precipitation extending from west to east in the northern half of the peninsula and north of the islands Balearic Islands. They will be abundant in the northern third, where they could be accompanied by occasional storms. It is likely that they become strong and/or persistent in Galicia and the western Cantabrian environment, without being excluded locally in other parts of the Cantabrian area, in the upper Ebro, in the north of the Iberian Peninsula or in the eastern end of the central system. At the end of the day, the strongest intensities will move towards the northeast, with the possibility of also becoming strong and/or persistent in eastern Catalonia, where occasional showers could have occurred the rest of the day. In a weaker and more dispersed manner, precipitation could affect areas further south, with the exception of the southern third of the peninsula and Alborán, where the weather will be slightly cloudy or intermittent. In the Canaries, cloudy passages in the north and slightly cloudy skies in the rest. Morning mist and fog likely in large areas of the northwest half, coasts of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands, persisting locally in Galicia and Asturias. Possible light haze in the east of the Canary Islands and the southwest of the peninsula.
Continuing with the same forecast: “Maximum temperatures will increase in the Canary Islands and in the Mediterranean area, except in the north of Catalonia where they will decrease as in the rest of the country, especially in the inland Cantabrian Sea. Minimum temperatures will decrease in the far north and generally increase in the rest. It will blow from the Tramuntana in the Ampurdán, from the east in the Cantabrian Sea, and a predominance of intense westerly winds in the rest, with a tendency to roll towards the south and east on the eastern facade. There may be strong intervals in Alborán, on the northern coasts of Galicia and Ampurdán, as well as some very strong gusts in the mountains of the northern half and far east. In the Canaries, the trade winds will blow with strong intervals in exposed areas.
