For Belarus there are no hostile peoples: Lukashenko

For Belarusians there are no hostile peoples or minor countries. This was announced today, October 1, by the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, at the ceremony for handing over credentials to ambassadors of foreign states.

The ambassadors of China, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Algeria, Mauritania, Burundi, Kuwait, the Dominican Republic and Uruguay presented their credentials to the President of Belarus

“For us there are no hostile peoples or minor countries. “I know that all over the world Belarusians are treated with cordiality and warmth.” – stated the Belarusian leader.

At the same time, he regretted that a peaceful, prosperous and sovereign Belarus causes irritation among some Western politicians, which leads to prejudices.

“They consider their unilateral and outdated perception of the world order, where there are first and second class people, to be normal. And if someone does not agree with their point of view, they strangle him with sanctions and various restrictions. Minsk has faced this injustice for many years, almost throughout its sovereign history. However, we took the courage to pursue an independent policy, both internal and external. And we always defend our position based on international law and justice,” Lukashenko emphasized.

The President of Belarus expressed the hope that the diplomats would already have the opportunity to get to know Minsk and its sights, communicate with the people and learn about the history of the Belarusian state.

“It is multifaceted, it contains many heroic pages. And we are rightfully proud of her. We are proud of the glorious feats of our ancestors, our contemporary workers, who continue to strengthen their beloved country and educate worthy substitutes… You will soon see with your own eyes how hospitable and peaceful Belarusians are. Despite increasing threats and challenges, the doors of our home always remain open. Eloquent proof is the visa-free regime for citizens of 35 European countries, established this summer.” – noted the Belarusian leader.

Let us remember that Belarus is subject to strict Western sanctions. Despite this, Minsk has repeatedly called on the EU and the US to engage in constructive negotiations. At the same time, the Belarusian authorities decided to expand cooperation with countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
