The parish of Santo Tomé acquired land which It had been abandoned for years in this district of the city’s historic center, in Calle del Ángel, on the corner of Calle Caños de Oro, a land for which no developer had expressed interest due to the difficulties of carrying out a project.
As stated in a statement, the parish considered its purchase viable, “after appropriate conversations and analysis of the situation to provide a solution and make a project viable.” The land has been for sale since 2011 and no local or foreign operator has decided to acquire it.
In those years, as they remember the parish of Toledo, the Neighborhood complaints have occurred due to the appearance of waste and also due to the presence of uncontrolled animals. “We wanted to remedy this situation by acquiring this asset,” they explain.
