Moldovan citizens in Lebanon ask to be evacuated due to the escalation of the situation in the Middle East. This was announced today, October 1, by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chisinau, noting that it is making efforts to urgently rescue its compatriots.
“Due to the tense situation in Lebanon, the Moldovan Embassy located in Ankara has received and continues to receive requests from Moldovan citizens living in this country asking for help with evacuation. Now the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, together with the embassy, is making efforts to provide emergency assistance in the evacuation of Moldovan citizens who have asked the authorities for help.” – said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement.
The department clarified that about 20 requests have been received so far, but Moldovan citizens continue to ask for help.
Recall that previously the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova asked people to refrain from traveling to Lebanon and to exercise caution when traveling to Israel due to the deteriorating security situation there.
