The United States warned on Tuesday that Iran prepares to launch “imminently” a ballistic missile attack on Israel. This was announced by a senior White House official on condition of anonymity to several American media outlets, such as the network cnnalready the press agency Reuters.
The same source assured that the United States actively support preparations to defend Israel against a hypothetical Iranian attack. Likewise, the official warned that there would be “serious consequences” if Tehran decides to attack.
For its part, the Israeli army has indicated that it is ready to face any air offensive by the ayatollahs’ regime. “Israeli air defense systems are fully prepared for any attack from Iran, but no threat has been identified so far,” an Israeli military spokesperson said on Tuesday, minutes after the US warning.
