The journalist and scientific broadcaster Lluís Reales Guisado died this Tuesday at the age of 62, as reported by the College of Journalists. Reales leaves “an indisputable mark in the field of scientific communication, health and the environment,” as the organization noted.
Throughout his career, he has produced and presented several leading scientific programs on Betevé (local television in Barcelona) such as “Deuwats”, “Einstein on the Beach”, “Respira” and “Terriens”. He was also a professor at UAB and director of the “Science and Health” supplement of La Vanguardia.
He was also co-founder of the Digital Journalists Group and director of the magazine “Medi Ambient”. Technology and Culture” between 1992 and 2014. He was also co-author of the book “Medi Ambient i comunicació”. From cultural evolution to conscious evolution (1994). In 2021 he was appointed Head of Communications at the Institute of Catalan Studies (IEC), where he continues to promote scientific rigor and the dissemination of knowledge.
