The Cajasur Foundation seeks innovative ideas among university students for new social challenges in Córdoba

The Cajasur Foundation and the universities of Córdoba (UCO And Loyola), in collaboration with Córdoba Social Lab and Fundación Xul, yesterday presented the program ‘Leaders 2030‘, A project addressed to university students which seeks to “generate real social change through six challenges,” which connect academia with local social organizations.

This was explained by the director of the Cajasur Foundation, Leopoldo Izquierdo, who assured during the presentation that “youth and social organizations HE unite in Cordoba for confront has local and global issues through the creation of innovative solutions.

“The objective of the program – he continued – is to create a direct impact on the community, ensuring that young peopleThis is the response from university students has pressing needs of the citywhile developing contacts, synergies and opportunities to extend the impact of the program in the long term.

The project approach aims to six challenges the main ones which refer to the overall concept: a more inclusive university environment, actions to innovate in youth volunteering, make disabled people visibledementia, dependence or in a situation of social exclusion; contribute to more sustainable lifestyles and consumption habits, improve the emotional well-being of people experiencing social exclusion or collect ideas to avoid addictions among young people.

Steps

These are the lines of work proposed by the project and on which the participants will work on their ideas, helped by mentors from the social organizations that are part of “Líderes 2030” and the Córdoba Social Lab. the program will be structured in three phases principals who will pilot the creativity and participant engagement: “Open Days”, “Hackathon” and the acceleration laboratory.

From October 21 to 31 THE responsible and volunteers from ‘Leaders 2030‘will be present at facilities and classrooms of the Cordoba Campus of the Loyola University and the Rabanales Campus of UCO to provide the information necessary for candidates and collect their doubts. On November 9, in the Church of the Magdalena, a sharing of ideas will take place and on the 23rd of this month they will take shape until they are evaluated by a jury.
