Atresmedia earns 77.4 million euros over the first nine months of 2024, or 8.2% more

In the first nine months of 2024, Atresmedia achieved a net profit of 713.2 million euros, which represents an increase of 7% compared to the previous year. The Gross Operating Profit (EBITDA) amounted to 116 million euros, an improvement of 5.7 million euros compared to 2023. For its part, the Net Profit increases by 8.2% in the period up to 77.4 million euros.

THE Total advertising investment increases by 5.5%. Television media grew by 4% and radio media by 4.9%, in both cases including their digital markets. The Audiovisual activity achieved a net result of 662.3 million euros compared to 618.9 million euros obtained over the first nine months of 2023, which represents an increase of 7%.

The group’s financial situation is positive and amounts to 145.1 million euros at the end of September, an improvement of 122 million compared to the end of the 2023 financial year.

Furthermore, net advertising revenues in Audiovisual Content increased by 5.2%, reaching 560.9 million euros over the period. This revenue includes all advertising revenue from the marketing of spaces on the media in which the Group operates (linear TV, connected TV, Atresplayer, digital channels, influencer marketing, own websites and third-party editorial media).

Eight consecutive quarters of leadership

Atresmédia rbetween January and September 2024, it records a share of 26.4% and accumulates eight consecutive quarters of leadership. It exceeds Mediaset by 1.3 points despite one fewer channel and increases the advantage over its main competitor.

El Hormiguero (15.2% and 2,007,000) and Pasapalabra (18.0% and 1,642,000) are leaders in daily entertainment. Since February, Sueños de Libertad (13.2% and 1,219,000) has been the leading daily fiction offering since its creation.

laSexta (6.2%) remains immovable as third most viewed private channel. Once again, he surpasses Cuatro (5.3%), which he has won for the last 39 consecutive months. It also leads Target Comercial (7.1%) over Cuatro with a one point lead.

The newscasts are among the most watched on the network. laSexta Noticias 14H (9.6%) achieves its best data of the year in September and laSexta Noticias 20H (7.8%) starts the season with its best data in almost a year and four points behind Noticias Cuatro (3 .8%). In the Digital sector, Atresmedia remains, as of September 2024,or leading audiovisual group on the internet. This year it reached an average of 23.9 million unique visitors and reached fifth place in the ranking of the most visited sites in Spain.

The Group’s online video platform, Atresplayer, accumulates, according to comsCore data, an average of three million unique visitors, i.e. 26% more than its direct rival and 60% more than the public channel’s platform. In September, it reached a consumption of 20 million hours of video (28% more than the same period of the previous year) and 16.6 million registered users.

The income of content production and distribution reaching 67.5 million euros compared to the 58.8 million euros accumulated in September of the previous year, an increase of 14.8% explained mainly by international content sales, B2C and B2B revenues from the Atresplayer SVOD platform and the Cinema activity.

Atresmedia Cine’s films in operation during the first nine months of the year represent 53% of Spanish cinema revenues, six of which rank among the ten most profitable Spanish films of the year.

Fever Labs, one of the most important financial investments

Atresmedia formalizes several operations sell approximately 2.7% of the capital of Fever Labs for an amount of 59 million euros. This is one of the company’s largest investments.
