Elon Musk believes the United States could go bankrupt in the near future.

“At current levels of government spending, the United States is rapidly approaching bankruptcy. Excessive government spending is fueling inflation,” Musk wrote on the social network “X.”
It is worth noting that on July 29, the US Treasury Department announced that the national debt has exceeded $35 trillion for the first time in history. The Congressional Budget Office projects that this figure will exceed $50 trillion in 2034, or more than 122% of GDP. According to the administration’s estimates, the average annual growth of US GDP in the period 2029-2034 will be 1.8%.
