The world’s ‘scariest’ car: the ultra-rare ‘Shelby Cobra 427 Super Snake’

The ultra-rare Shelby Cobra 427 Super Snake is one of the most terrifying muscle cars ever made.

About the features of the car. Oku.Az “Supercarblondie.com” reports.

Manufactured in 1965, the Super Snake was part of Carroll Shelby’s personal collection.

Shelby called him “The Cobra to End All Cobras.”

This car has real power and is known for being a real pain in the ass on the road.

There are several rare Shelby examples, such as the 1965 Shelby GT350, the Shelby GT350 Sportsroof of which only 937 units were produced, etc.

But when it comes to the rarest of the rare, that title has to go to the “CSX 3015 Shelby Cobra 427 Super Snake.”

“Super Snake”, combining spectacular appearance and incredible speed, was able to scare even the most confident drivers.

“When I built this twin-turbo 427 Cobra in 1966, I wanted it to be the fastest, most furious car on the road,” Shelby said in 2006.

Powered by a standard 427 cubic inch (7 liter) Cobra V8 engine, the CSX 3015 has not one, but two Paxton superchargers, capable of producing 800 horsepower.

The car could reach a top speed of about 321 km/h (200 mph) and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0-60 mph) in just three seconds.

While not as quick as the Rimac Nevera R, which can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 1.81 seconds, it’s important to remember that the Cobra was built in the 1960s, a time when there was absolutely no raw power nor was the technology.

The second version of the car, “CSX 3303”, was created for disgraced comedian Bill Cosby, who was convicted of sexual assault of a minor, but found the car difficult to drive and keep under control.

The car was later sold to a man named Tony Maxey, who allegedly had the same problems as Cosby. And as a result, “CSX 3303” took Maxie’s life. One day, while driving, he lost control and drove off a cliff into the waters of the Pacific Ocean.

The tragedy meant that CSX 3015 was the only remaining Shelby Cobra 427 Super Snake.
