Netflix announces documentary on the “Rubiales case” with previously unseen testimonies from world champions

Netflix announced this Wednesday a documentary film that captures the experience of the Spanish players who won the last FIFA World Cup. #SeAcabó: Journal of champions It will premiere on November 1 and includes never-before-seen testimonies from footballers such as Jenni Hermoso and Alexia Putellas.

The documentary explores the journey of a team that saw how an unprecedented victory was impacted by an international scandal, known as the Rubiales affair, due to the behavior of the former president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation on August 20, 2023 in the final of the Women’s Football World Cup organized in Sydney (Australia).

The platform has confirmed that Jenni Hermoso, Alexia Putellas, Irene Paredes, Aitana Bonmatí, Olga Carmona, Teresa Abelleira, Ivana Andrés, Laia Codina, Sandra Paños and Lola Gallardo participate in the documentary. “This is the first time many are talking about this,” says Joanna Pardos, the film’s director.
