Five forgotten buildings will be recovered by the Town Hall in collaboration with the Provincial Council thanks to a project “Toledo emerges”, an initiative announced this Wednesday morning by the mayor, Carlos Velázquez, during the Debate on the state of the municipality.
These spaces are the Abdón de Paz Palace; the Alamillos del Tránsito building; Saint John of God; the old nuns’ cemetery and the former headquarters of Radio Nacional de España on Paseo de San Cristóbal.
Abdón de Paz Building
The Abdón de Paz building, former palace of the Canonigo Obrero, is located in this new cultural axis formed by the Salón Rico, the Teatro de Rojas and the Mosque of Tornerías. It has a constructed area of 2,333 square meters and formerly housed the provincial women’s university residence. It has been unused for almost 20 years.

Building of San Juan de Dios

San Ildefonso Building

Former headquarters of the Spanish National Radio
