“The Russian side regrets that Armenia continues to freeze its activities within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).”
Oku.Az This was reported by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Maria Zakharova, responding to news.ru’s question during the briefing.
“We regret that Armenia continues to freeze or boycott its activities within the CSTO. We believe that the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) is useful both in the security and economic spheres. We do not see any obstacles to interaction with Armenia within these two structures, but this is an issue related to the country’s national policy,” said M. Zakharova.
Earlier, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said during his speech at the Warsaw Security Forum that Yerevan is studying all risks associated with leaving the CSTO.
