Mazarias denounces the “clientelist” treatment of the Ministry of Education by rejecting the implementation of the FP Innovation Center in Segovia

The mayor of Segovia, José Mazarias, h.reported this Thursday “clientelist” treatment of the Ministry of Education by rejecting, on October 28 and, after several meetings and contacts, the establishment of the Center for Innovation, Technical and High Performance Professional Training (Citar) at the Center for Innovation and Development of Companies (CIDE) of Segovia.

With this response, Mazarias insisted that the Ministry of Education “They based their decision on gross errors” after 15 months of continuous work “to accelerate any possibility that the project will be a reality in the city.

Thus, he stressed that the way to understand the politics of the socialists “consists only in benefiting their own party interests and in which the Segovians have no importance. In this sense, Mazarias showed his dissatisfaction with the “mistreatment and deception” of the ministry “hiding the reality of a project that never existed” for Segovia and in which the Spanish government “liquidated all expectations from the first moment the Popular Party entered the city council.”

“A “bait used electorally”» said Mazarias, while explaining that Pedro Sánchez had announced the project two days before the elections. “We will not admit that the socialists blame the government for its disastrous management,” stressed the mayor, while assuring that what they have left them is “the gigantic bill for dtens of millions of euros what the CIDE costs and who prevented this money from being allocated to the investments necessary for the city.

In this sense, he emphasized that the City Hall’s proposal was for shared use “in which Citar, the municipal administration and other services fit in.” Thus, he confirmed that the fact that the administration of the Town Hall is transferred to CIDE “does not mean an increase in expenses, but rather avoids the ruin of the building and the concentration of services “This will allow the city to stop paying rent for occupied premises and buildings or to sell those owned by the municipality.”

For his part, Mazarias emphasized that it is “the whims of Pedro Sánchez and Las Claras»the result of which “was a massive expenditure of millions” which resulted in an “empty and capricious” management of the socialist mayors, the last of whom, Clara Martín, “did not respond to the request for transfer of spaces sent by L education in December 2022,” concluded the mayor.
