The Spanish construction company Sacyr was rewarded, with its Italian partner Fininca concession in Turin (Italy) to build and manage a new hospital complex in the transalpine city in exchange for 517 million euros. The company chaired by Manuel Manrique, participant in the SIS consortium, will be responsible for designing the so-called “Turin Health, Research and Innovation Park”a contract that includes the construction of a hospital and a university campus.

Once the operation is formalized, which Sacyr expects will happen in the coming months, construction of these properties will begin, a process that will last five years. Later he will start the concession phase, lasting 20 years which includes the maintenance of structural and architectural elements, mechanical and electrical installations and management of commercial areas.

The new complex will serve approximately 300,000 people and will have four interconnected blocks, where the current health establishments of La Molinette, the CTO and the Sant’Anna hospital, which currently make up the Cité de la Santé, will be moved. The center will host clinical, preclinical and translational research, in addition to providing space for educational activities, including undergraduate courses in medicine and health professions.
