The Navarrese town of Lodosa organize for next weekend from October 4 to 6 the 14th edition of the exaltation of piquillo pepper, one of its most characteristic and best-known products.
So, on Friday October 4, a visit to the Plazuela Palace house is planned from 6:15 p.m. Later, at 7:30 p.m., the pairings with appellation of origin products and Reyno Gourmet with appellation of origin wines. The price of tickets is eight euros.
Saturday October 5 will be the big day with the opening of the Piquillo Pepper Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the sale of peppers from local producers. There will be a free tasting offered by Conservas Pedro Luis with the collaboration of the ‘amas de casa’ association.
From 11 a.m. it will be time to the troupe of giants and bagpipers of Lodosa, who will roam the streets of the city until 1 p.m. From noon, there will be Face Painting at the kiosk on the square.
At midday, there will be a highlight with the delivery of the eighth Silver Piquillo to Julian Iantzi Mitxelena as part of the irrigation of the Lodosana orchard. The council wants to “recognize the figure of this charismatic and enthusiastic communicator, whose energy on screen is intoxicating like our piquillos”.

The program of events for the Lodosa Piquillo Festival will end on Sunday October 6. At 10 a.m., the XCO Autumn Open with a circuit on Calvario Street. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. the sale of peppers by local producers will continue.
At noon, in the multipurpose room, there will be a free activity with the Kamishibai children’s theater entitled “Amaia and Martín at the vegetable festival”. A funny story about two brothers who are about to go on a trip to the magical orchard of Navarre.
At 5:30 p.m., it will be time for Bull with rope, departing from the Lodosa bullring.
