José Fernández will exalt San Rafael on October 14

Brother José Fernández, Exalter of San Rafael
José Fernández, brother and honorary foreman of the brotherhood of La Merced, is chosen to pronounce the Exaltation of the Archangel San Rafael on Monday, October 14, in the Court of the Columns of the Royal Circle of Friendship of Córdoba.
This was unanimously accepted by the brotherhood of San Rafael, during a meeting of the board of directors. This is the thirteenth edition of this event, scheduled as part of the events around the Solemnity of San Rafael.
José Fernández is a teacher by profession and vocation. He served on the boards of directors of the Merced Brotherhood. He was master of the passage of the pallium of María Santísima de la Merced for four decades, according to the brotherhood of San Rafael.
He proclaimed the Virgin of Mercy, the Virgin of the Moon of Pozoblanco, the Holy Week of Pozoblanco and the Holy Week of Córdoba in 2006. In 2009, in the Church of the Magdalena, he gave the Pregón del Costalero.
José Fernández’s presenter on this occasion will be Pablo Jiménez, the older brother of the Merced brotherhood.
Likewise, on Saturday October 12, the Brotherhood of San Rafael will celebrate the traditional mass in honor of the Virgen del Pozo, its co-owner, at 11:00 a.m.
