Three kilograms of opium were found in the hands of the detainee in Beylagan.
Oku.Az informs that this was reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of the Interior.
According to information received by the Beylagan District Police Department, Balamammad Abbasov, previously convicted and suspected of illegal drug trafficking, was arrested as a result of the operation.
More than three kilograms of opium were found and taken. B. Abbasov said in his testimony that he obtained the drugs through an Iranian citizen whose identity is under investigation.
A criminal case has been initiated due to the incident, preventive detention has been chosen for the detainee and investigations are ongoing.
