The person fined faces six months in prison and deprivation of the right to drive for up to four years
The Civil Guard detected a driver driving a large displacement motorcycle, doubling the maximum speed allowed in the province of Valencia. Concretely, it was discovered by a speedometer on a conventional road at 164 kilometers per hourwhen it was limited to 70.
It all happened on September 29, 2024, in a speed monitoring and verification service, established by a radar team of the Traffic Subsector of the Civil Guard of Valencia, on the CV-245, at kilometer 08 200, in an increasing sense, in which he discovered the motorcycle. The officers arrested and identified the driver, aged 42, who was investigated as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against road safetyfor driving a motor vehicle exceeding the maximum permitted speed of 80 km/h, punishable by imprisonment of up to six months and deprivation of the right to drive of up to four years .
On the CV-245 highway there are high-risk sections for motorists (TARM) established by the DGT, due to its high accident rate. The proceedings initiated were brought before the Court of Liria Guardia (Valencia).
