A hearing was held in the Supreme Court on the cassation appeal against the decision of Agamahammed Ahmadov, accused of killing his wife and causing various physical injuries to his son in Khirdalan.
According to information obtained by Pravda.az, in the trial presided over by Judge Tahir Kazimov it was announced that the defendant withdrew the cassation appeal.
The incident occurred in December 2021 in the city of Khirdalan, Guschulug residential area. Thus, A. Ahmadov, born in 1959, killed his wife, Basti Ahmadova, born in 1963, and his son, Taleh Ahmadova, born in 1985, suffered physical injuries of varying degrees during a dispute in the house where he lived.
Subsequently, A. Ahmadov was arrested and charged with articles 120.1 (intentional murder, that is, intentionally depriving another person of life), 29, 120.2.7 (attempt to kill two or more persons) of the Criminal Code.
It should be noted that according to the verdict of the Sumgayit Serious Crimes Court, he was sentenced to 17 years and 6 months in prison. According to the decision of the Sumgayit Court of Appeal, the appeal was not upheld.
