“The Ministry of Science and Education has prepared an action plan for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).”
This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Science and Education, Firudin Gurbanov, during his speech at the event “The role of higher education in climate transitions”, organized within the framework of the Baku Climate Action Week on October 3.
According to him, environmental awareness must be formed in secondary and higher schools:
“Given the important role of human capital in higher education, it is important to expand higher education’s trajectory in climate education.”
F. Gurbanov said that “Green Week” in educational institutions was announced this week:
“We try to shape the culture of students and students with seminars.”
