Peskov commented on the updated list of banned artists

The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, said that he does not know anything about the list of Russian-speaking and foreign artists and groups banned in Russia, which was distributed on Telegram channels and in the media the day before.

“We don’t know anything about the lists. “There are a lot of fakes floating around out there.” – he told RTVI.

At the same time, the Kremlin representative did not rule out that the position of some artists on a special military operation in Ukraine “could provoke rejection by the organizer of this or that event.”

“And it has nothing to do with us” – Peskov concluded.

As reported EADailyPreviously, information appeared about changes in the “black list” of artists, which was allegedly received by advertising agencies, as well as event companies in Russia. In total, the list includes 79 names and group names. In addition to singers and groups with an openly Russophobic and anti-Russian position, artists who try to “stay out of politics”, artists who support the actions of the Russian authorities are also included. For example, the list now allegedly includes the popular artist of Russia Valery Leontyev, Dzhigan and Instasamka, as well as other bloggers, comedians and showmen. At the same time, Western artists also perform: Beyoncé, Lana del Rey, Metallica and others.

The list of artists who are not recommended to be invited to events was described as false by the head of the Federal Security and Anti-Corruption Project Vitaly Borodin.
