Last ten days for the presentation of applications for the 8th Socio-Health Journalism Awards

The deadline for submission of work for the eighth edition of the Socio-health journalism prize enters its home stretch. The Health Law Association of the Valencian Community will choose the best socio-health journalism work of 2024 among those presented until October 15 and will present the award at a gala scheduled for November 7 at the Valencia Exhibition Center .

During the event, the ADSCV will also reward the professional career of a journalist with proven independence and “attached to the idea of ​​public service, who constitutes an example and deserves to be highlighted for his career in the sector socio-sanitary and in the field of health”, as established in the bases of the appeal.

The ADSCV Socio-Health Journalism Awards were born to recognize and encourage the search for excellence, innovation and rigor in the treatment of facts by information professionals who work and publish regularly on socio-health issues in the Valencian Community.

The jury for the VIII Socio-Health Journalism Awards will be made up of five journalists with proven experience and prestige in the Valencian Community; Vicente Ordazresponsible for news of the COPE Valencia network and president of the jury; Elvira Graullera, Europa Press delegate in the Valencian Community; Adolfo Ibarra, delegate of the EFE Agency in the Valencian Community, alongside Ana Alonso and Ă“scar JimĂ©nez, last year’s winners of the Professional Career and Best Journalistic Work awards respectively.

To select the winning work, the jury will evaluate the informative interestthe narrative quality of the story, the own research, the rigor in the treatment of the facts, the independence, the originality and the contribution of the work to journalism and to society.

Journalistic works from the press, radio or television can participate in the call, in any format of the informative genre, whether in printed or digital media, which deal with issues related to the socio-health fieldand were published until October of the year of the appeal in all media in the Valencian Community. Participating works must be sent by email to comunicacion@adscv.com.
