Sánchez announces 4.5 billion grants and 50,000 million loans from European funds for SMEs

Pedro Sánchez announced this Thursday that the government would allocate 4,500 million euros in grants and 50,000 million in loans to the transformation of small and medium-sized businesses.

During an event at the School of Industrial Organization (EOI), the President of the Government highlighted that the funds come from the Recovery Plan, focused on promoting the modernization of the Spanish productive fabric. Among the games, stand out 1.380 million Red.es And 3 billion lossStrategic projects for economic recovery and transformation.

More than 30,000 million will be allocated via ICO credit linesfocused on businesses and entrepreneurs, with a particular emphasis on the green transition. In addition, 16.4 billion will be routed via the digital SEPIthe State Corporation for Technological Transformation (SETT), in areas such as the LOSS Chip and the Next Tech Fund.

Sánchez highlighted the importance of SMEs in the Spanish economy, saying that “two euros out of five” of the recovery plan directly benefit these companies. According to the government, more than half a million SMEs have already received funding in one form or another.
