In Goychay, 8 people involved in illegal drug trafficking were arrested.
Oku.Az informs that this was reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of the Interior (MIA).
It was reported that Farid Babayev, who was involved in the cultivation of narcotic plants and had been previously convicted, was detained during the operation carried out by officers of the Goychay district police department.
According to information from the Sheki regional group of the press service of the Ministry of the Interior, hemp bushes, marijuana and a pistol were discovered on his farm.
During other operations, 7 more people involved in drug trafficking were arrested. Heroin, marijuana and methamphetamine were found on those people.
Farid Garibov, one of those arrested, was found to have stolen a car in the region.
Investigations related to the facts revealed are ongoing.
